| The Society began in 1876 and soon grew into a large concern. From various sources we have found lots of interesting items, and some are transcribed here. The collection of 100 pictures was amassed by Eric Fowell with help acknowledged from Mr & Mrs Carter of Weston Favell, the late Joe Freer's collection, Geoff Wiggins, and David Hudson. Some documents are in private hands, others were copied sometime before the Co-op was disbanded. Many are now at Northamptonshire Record Office.
A new shop under CWS - not Rushden Industrial Co-op Society opened in 2018.
