Co-op Stamps

In the 1970s savings stamps were issued when goods were purchased.
Perhaps these were 5 for every £ spent? Green Shield Stamps had been
a previous scheme, similarly run mostly by garages.
The monetary value of the stamps was 1.33p per 40 stamp.

Stamps were either "5s" or "40s" - 15 pages to fill in each book.
To spend on goods or to buy gift vouchers, or to save in the Co-op Bank.
