Or thereabouts, of which 66a 0r 4p or thereabouts is rich pasture and the remainder excellent arable land, most eligibly situate on the main roads leading from Higham Ferrers and Rushden to Wellingborough at the junction thereof, in the occupation of Mr Leonard Parsons, at the low rental of £186 per annum.
The greater part of the farm is freehold and the remainder containing 23a 2r 32p or thereabouts is copyhold of the Manor of Rushden, which being fine certain is considered nearly equal in value to freehold. This farm has long frontages to excellent roads, and being near to the important towns of Higham Fererrs and Rushden, and to the market town of Wellingborough (about 8 miles distant) forms a desirable estate for investment or occupation. Farm Purchased for Co-operative Society
At the Hind Hotel, Wellingborough, on Wednesday afternoon, a fairly large company met Messrs. Pendered and Son, who had announced their attention to sell by auction an accommodation farm, with farmhouse, yards, and extensive buildings.
The farm is that known as Rushden Grange Farm, together with farmhouse, gardens, rick yard, stock yards, stables, and useful buildings, containing 124a. 1r. 25p., of which 66a. 0r. 4p. or thereabouts is pasture and the remainder arable land, situate on the main roads leading from Higham Ferrers and Rushden to Wellingborough, at the junction, in the occupation of Mr. Leonard Parsons, at the rental of £186 per annum. The greater part of the farm is freehold, and the remainder, containing 23a. 2r. 32p. or thereabouts, is copyhold of the manor of Rushden, which, being fine certain, is considered nearly equal in value to freehold.
The property was sold for £4,000 to Mr. J. C. Parker, acting for the Rushden Co-operative Society. Messrs Burnham, Son, and Lewin were the solicitors for the vendors.
