Rushden Echo, 30th July 1920
Sounded—Mr. Robert Marriott, Rushden, received a cablegram yesterday conveying the somewhat alarming news that his son, Captain Jack Marriott, serving in Mesopotamia, was recently wounded in two places whilst in action near Bagdad. Hopes are entertained that the wounds will not prove serious.
