Mind still very very with it but writing becoming increasingly poor. George was diagnosed with leukaemia and died early in this new century.

During Spring 2005 Ada was diagnosed with throat cancer. She attended daily sessions for last two weeks in August and first two in September at Northampton General Hospital. She was picked up and sometimes she was taken right out to Rothwell to pick someone else up on her way to Northampton. The cancer was treated. Ada was still living on her own at 33 Birchall Road, Rushden - Harold's and her first and only house purchase.

On November 7th 2006 she finally left no. 33 and moved into The Cloisters, Rushden. Her mind was still very active for someone who was 90 years old.

She became very poorly during Oct - Dec 2007 and was taken to Kettering Hospital several times for short over night stays but on Monday Dec 3rd 2007 she died in Kettering Hospital after a traumatic Sunday 2nd. She did not die from the cancer which was no longer in her body.
