William Warren was born in 1815 at Wymington, and his wife Kitty was born the following year, daughter of John Coleman and Elizabeth (nee Cox).

Kitty and William were married on the 12th December 1836, and early in the following year their daughter Esther was born. The family then moved into Rushden and another daughter Phoebe was born in 1839, followed by Adelaide, James, Naomi, Joseph, Jethro, German, Rosetta, Evangeline and Emmeline in 1858.

William was a shoemaker by trade, but he started trading as a carrier in the 1860s, at first with a donkey and cart, travelling between Wellingborough and Rushden each day, fetching and carrying.

Kitty died suddenly on the 8th June 1883, and an inquest was held the following day in the Vestry Hall. William died in February 1892.

Esther married George Garlick.

Phoebe married John Clark in 1860. Their son John, with his brother-in-law James Jaques, founded the company of Jaques and Clark shoemakers.

Adelaide died in 1861 aged just 21.

James married Eliza Whiteman in 1864, and he was a baker and butcher at 24 Little Street, where they had 8 children.

His brother Joseph was married in 1868 to Maria Whiteman, sister of James' wife Eliza, and daughter of Richard Whiteman.

Naomi and German have not been researched.

Jethro Warren died aged 20 in 1867.

Rosetta was married in 1872 to Thomas Lack, and they had 16 children. She died in 1928.

Evangeline married Joseph Bailey in 1874, and they had nine children. Their daughter Kate married Fred Collins, dairyman. Another daughter Fanny married Herbert Cox, and their daughter Madge was married in 1931 to H E Bates.

Emmeline married Wm Henry Darnell, son of William, in 1875, when they were both aged 18.
