The Memorial Cross given to Ringstead by the late Mr Herbert Alfred Billson, shoe manufacturer of Northampton, who married Miss Whittering, of Ringstead, was unveiled and dedicated on Sunday afternoon by Col. John Brown, D.S.O., of Northampton.

A procession, was headed by the Raunds Temperance Band, and included about 60 ex-servicemen under ex-Lieut. H Attley.

The cross is beautifully worked in grey Celtic granite.
