Born at Ringstead, brother of Percy, lived at The Bungalow, Ringstead.

Ringstead Parents lose their second son

Mr. and Mrs. A. Baxter, of Spencer Street, Ringstead, have received official news that their only son, Pte. Bert Baxter (The Buffs), age 19, was killed in action on March 21st. This is the second son Mr. and Mrs. Baxter have lost during this war, as Pte. Percy Baxter died of wounds on April 2nd last year. Pte. B. Baxter worked for Messrs. Adams Bros., boot manufacturers, Raunds, before joining H.M. Forces. Mr. and Mrs. Baxter had only these two in family and both have given their lives for the country.
