Oswald Road & Winchester Road
Laid out in 1897

In November 1897 Messrs Knight and Bradfield applied to the council for plans to be passed for a new road, Winchester Road, as a further extension of the Pightles Estate. [plan 507] Oswald Road was recently built.

Numbering of these streets is confusing as the numbers run on indiviually, rather than odds on one side of the road and evens on the other side.

Oswald Road

At the Newton Road junction this road cuts across the top of Roberts Street, and leads towards one entrance of the cemetery, next to the cemetery keeper's residence. Stoneleigh was not built until 1901.
