Mr Ebenezer Wrighton has been in business as a shoe manufacturer since the year 1888 and has always been hard working, honest and painstaking in all he undertakes. At the present time he is ably assisted by his son, Mr S J Wrighton and the business is developing and increasing in a satisfactory manner. The firm specialise in men's standard-screwed work for hard wear and successfully produce these and other lines noted for their durability and long service. The firm have every facility for doing the business right and, being thoroughly experienced in all departments, can supply goods suitable for all markets.

In 1906 Ellard & Howes took over the York Road factory when Ebenezer moved to this factory at 23 Crabb Street.

New Limited Liability Company—A private company, Messrs Ebenezer Wrighton and Sons Ltd. (160448), registered on Nov. 10th, with a capital of £7,000 in £1 shares, to carry on the business of boot and shoe manufacturers and exporters, hide and leather merchants, leather manufacturers and factors, etc. The subscribers (each with one share) are: E. Wrighton, 257 Wellingborough-road, Rushden, boot manufacturer; S. J. Wrighton, 24 York-road, Rushden, boot manufacturer. The first directors are E. and S. J. Wrighton, Qualification, £200. Registered office, Crabb-street, Rushden.
