Duncan and Davison

This  business was commenced eighteen months ago, and is making very satisfactory progress. Messrs. Duncan and  Davison have secured sufficient trade to fill the factory to its fullest capacity, and are now producing 2,000 pairs per week. This is a tribute to their ability and enterprise, for they have installed the best and latest machinery and done all that is possible to ensure, success. The goods are thoroughly reliable, and the season’s samples very fine, although small in number. The details are well looked after, and the fittings some of the best. Mr. Duncan and Mr. Davison have had a wide experience of the trade, have set before themselves the motto of 'Solidity, workmanship, and keen personal attention to every detail'. That their aim has succeeded is obvious, and we anticipate further developments of this house in the near future.

This letter head was found amongst the 'Burnt Records' from WWI
for Harry Shrives, who had worked for them as a clicker in 1914/5.
