An important sale of property took place on Monday at the Coffee Tavern, Rushden, Mr John S Mason being the auctioneer.

Two semi-detached villas in High-street, with building frontage to Church-street, offered by the executors of the late Mr W H Wilkins, were sold to Mr F Cowley, High-street, at £1,450.

A freehold house, 8 Fitzwilliam-street, started at £150, was sold to Mr C Claridge for £225.

A plot of building land with frontages of 108 feet to Essex-road and 45 feet to Grove-road, 540 square yards, was sold at 3/10 per yard to Mr Eli Robinson.

A corner shop, with three houses, in Cromwell-road and Blinco-road, was sold to Mr John Claridge for £650.

£115 original stock in the Rushden and Higham Gas Co., sold separately, fetched prices ranging from £24/10/0 to £25 per £10 stock.

Fifty shares in the Rushden Coffee Tavern Co. were sold to Mr E Claridge at 19s per £1 share.
