Newton Road shops
Rushden Echo, 17th March 1967

Another new shop for Rushden. This is a view of the Continental Stores Company (Rushden) Ltd. premises in Newton Road, which opened on Monday, as a delicatessen store, specialising in Continental foodstuffs. The shop is a joint venture by fifty men of all nationalities who live in the town.

Putnam's shop - corner of Pratt Road/Newton Road - has two blinds down. Opposite corner - Co-op Bakery - has another blind; a bicycle is parked on the roadside kerb.
Far left - the old Fire Station and next - the Athletic Club.
