Killed—Pte. Frank George, Northants Regt., son of Mrs. G. West, has been killed by gunshot wound in the head, death being instantaneous.

Soldier’s Death—Mrs. I. West, of Irchester, has received official news that her son, Pte. Frank George, Northamptonshire Regiment, was killed in action on October 29th. The deceased soldier enlisted at the age of 16, and served at the Dardanelles, returned to England with dysentery, and was sent to France on November 28th 1916. A brother was killed on April 9th 1917. Prior to joining the Colours both worked for Messrs. Jas. Hyde and Co., boot manufacturers, Rushden.

Mrs. I. West, or Irchester, has received official news that her son, Pte. Frank George, of the Northants Regiment, was killed in action on October 29th. He enlisted at the age of 16 and served at the Dardanelles. He returned to England with dysentery and after being in England a short while he was sent to France on November 29th 1916. There was another son killed on April 9th 1917. Prior to enlisting both worked for Messrs. James Hyde and Co. Ltd., Rushden.
