George EvansRingstead Gunner Missing

Mrs. G. E. Evans, of Carlow-street, Ringstead, was officially informed on Monday that her husband, Gunner George Ernest Evans, who was with a Surrey Regiment, has been missing since June 20th. He joined the Forces in May 1940, and later was sent to the Middle East. Gnr. Evans, who is 27, was married in March 1939, and has one little boy, Paul. Prior to joining-up he was employed at Raunds Co-op Butchery Department.
