Frederick Julyan (born 1862 Aldwincle) came to Rushden with his wife Elizabeth Ann (born 1857 Oundle, nee Burbidge) and a son Cecil Francis who was born in 1888 at Heley OXF. They had married at Oundle in 1887.
Their second son, Percy Frederick was baptised at Rushden on 25th October 1891 at St Mary’s church .
They lived in a cottage and shop in Rectory Cottages in Rectory Road, and Frederick kept a nursery ground in Cromwell Road.
Frederick specialised in cut flowers, but also supplied wreaths, bouquets, etc.
