Charles G T Holloway was born in 1897 and by 1911 he was working as a grocers assistant living with his parents at 1 Glassbrook Road. He then becames a dairy roundsman for C Warren and Son of Pratt Road. In 1924 Charles married Alice Tuck who was a servant for the Sudborough Family at Higham Ferrers. She was born at Great Yamouth. The following year their son Philip was born, but sadly Alice died the following year and she was buried at Great Yamouth. Charles married Eva Perry of Higham Ferrers in 1929 and the following year they had a daughter Eveyln, who died and was buried in Newton Road Cemetery. Cemetery records give her age as 2 years 11 months. Grave E1445 :
By 1939 he was living at 21 High Street, Thrapston and was a publican with his wife and others. In 1943 they had a daughter, Eve born there. Charles died in March 1956 and was then living at Elm Street in Wellingboro, but he was buried at Rushden cemetery. Eva died in March 1983. They are buried in Grave F1662, but no memorial is recorded on the grave. |
