Jack Green married Sarah Ann Bollard in 1879 but they had no children. Jack was born at Rothwell and was a clicker by trade. Sarah was a shoe machinist and she employed 3 others. They lived first at Vine Cottages, and moved to 152 Queen Street in the 1890s.

THE BOOTHS AND STALLAGE at the forthcoming pony and galloway races at Rushden were offered by auction by Mr. J. J. Coulbeck at the Waggon and Horses Inn on Wednesday night. The first and second-class licensed refreshment booths were offered in one lot and sold to Mr. W. H. Lovell, of the Oakley, for £10; the tea booth was sold to Mr. Jack Green for £1 10s.; and the stallage was bought by Mr. Jack Green for £4 10s.

In loving memory of Jack the beloved husband of Sarah GREEN who died 18th March 1930 aged 75 years. At rest. In loving memory of Sarah beloved wife of Jack GREEN died Sepr 12th 1939 aged 81 years.

The Keech family lived at 156 in the 1950s.
Albert Timpson, the Captain of the
Fire Brigade, lived at 154.
Jack Green moved to 152 in the 1890s, and remained there until his death in 1930.

In 1954 Frederick Salisbury and his wife Sarah (nee Bollard) moved into 152 Queen Street with their daughter Peggy. Albert Percy Timpson, was born in 1900. In 1925 he married Lily Ethel (nee Bollard) who was born in 1901, dau of George and Elizabeth, of 40 North Street. She was baptised at St Peter's Church in 1907.
Albert became the Fire Brigade Captain, and with Lily (known as Ethel) he lived at 154 Queen Street. In 1967 Lily Ethel died, and Albert married Lilian I Cockburn in 1971. He died in 1991.
The Keech family lived at 156, adjoining the King Edward VII public house.
Leslie Arthur Keech married Lilian Rose Carr on Dec 22nd 1934 at the Independent Wesleyan Church.
They had three children, Richard, Barry and Susan.
Note: Susan Keech married Paul Manton, and in 2006 when we started this website, Sue was one of the first volunteers to help. She brought her memories of a 1950s childhood, and stayed as our main typist until her illness in 2017.
