The Late Miss MARY HELENA BARKER—In memory of the late Miss Barker, a handsome brass cross has been affixed in the Parish Church, on the north wall of the chancel, close to the screen, and bears the following inscription:—"To the glory of God, and in loving memory of Mary Helena Barker, who died at Lucerne July 22nd, 1890, aged 23 years. ‘In Thy presence is fullness of joy’." Beneath the cross is a brass tablet, inscribed as follows:—"The above cross was erected by the choir, Sunday school teachers, girls' guild and other church workers." Miss Mason and Miss Stevens were the chief promoters of memorial.
