Dispatches Mention Rushden Chairman’s Son

Lieut. G A Weale Lieut. Geoffrey A. Weale, R.N.V.R., only son of Mr. A. F. Weale, J.P., chairman of the Rushden Urban Council, and Mrs. Weale, has been mentioned in dispatches for "courage, skill and enterprise."

Joining the R.N.V.R. as soon as war broke out in 1939, Lieut. Weale has seen continuous active service and is now navigation officer and anti-submarine expert on a destroyer.

Before the war he was in the Estate Department of Messrs. Jackson Stops and Staff in London, having followed that profession since leaving Kimbolton Grammar School.

His parents reside at "Charnwood," Newton-road, Rushden.
