Mr. Zachariah Spriggs

A Military Medallist - Mr. Zachariah Spriggs, an ex-private in the East Surrey Regiment, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Allen Spriggs, of Rushden, has just received the Military Medal which he won on the Ypres sector in September last, for carrying messages under heavy fire, and taking one to its destination after being severely wounded in the right arm. He was in hospital for six months with his wound. He enlisted at Christmas 1917, and went to France in April, 1918.
