Rushden Medalist Honours for A.B. Jack Perkins

We have to congratulate A.B. Albert John ("Jack") Perkins, Royal Naval Division, whose wife resides at 22, Crabb-street, Rushden, upon having been awarded the Military Medal for valued work as stretcher-bearer during the big German push in May. A.B. Perkins is now in hospital at Dorchester, suffering from septic poisoning in the foot and leg.

The news of the honour which has conferred upon him was received by his wife on Tuesday morning, she having been informed of the fact by A.B. F. Mobbs, of Kettering, who has also been granted a similar award.

Seaman Perkins joined the Colours last August, and went to France on December 17th last year. He formerly worked as Consol operator for Mr. Joseph Knight, boot manufacturer, Rushden.
