Rushden Soldier
An official telegram from Egypt this week, has been received by Mr and Mrs T Willis, of 157 Cromwell-road, Rushden, announcing the death from pneumonia, of their second son, Sapper Fred G Willis, R.E., aged 25, at the 19th General Hospital Alexandria. He joined up in October 1915, went to Egypt the following April, and had not been home since.
Before the war, he worked at Messrs. Knight and Lawrence's factory. Much sympathy is felt with the parents, whose elder son, Pte T Willis was killed in action in France nearly two years ago.

Rushden Sapper Dies of Pneumonia
Mr. and Mrs. T. Willis, of 157, Cromwell-road, Rushden, have received an official telegram stating that their second son, Sapper Fred G. Willis, R.E., died of pneumonia on Nov. 29th at the 19th General Hospital, Alexandria. Enlisting in October, 1915, Sapper Willis, who was 25 years of age, went to Egypt in April, 1916. Previous to joining up he was employed by Messrs. Knight and Lawrence, boot manufacturers, Rushden. The elder son of Mr. and Mrs. Willis, Pte. T. Willis, was killed in action in France nearly two years ago.
