Succumbs to Injuries in the Head
Pte A J Cooper, of Rushden, youngest son of Mr and Mrs James Cooper, High-street, Olney, Bucks, died on December 2nd from injuries in the head. Deceased, who went through the Dardanelles Campaign with the Northants Regiment, and also through the Battle of Gaza, was a nephew of Mr and Mrs James Barnes, of 146, Cromwell-road, Rushden, with whom he had resided for about four years, prior to joining the Colours. He was 21 years of age last August. Before enlistment he worked at Messrs. Allebone's boot factory at Rushden.
