Podington
Great sympathy is felt for Mrs C Chisholm of Rushden, and formerly of Manor Farm Cottages, Podington. Official information has reached her that her son John Chisholm is posted as missing. Almost at the same time news reached her from Glasgow that her husband, Mr G Chisholm, has died. He had been suffering from an incurable disease for seventeen years.

From further research we believe the details to be as above:-
George William Chisholm was born 1887 in the Sunderland area. He married Constance Mabel Wykes (born 1894 Wellingborough Registration district), in the Louth district 1916. Sons George W Chisholm born 1916 and John C Chisholm were born 1918 Wellingborough Registration District (no other siblings found). Constance died in 1947 aged 53, and was buried at Podington.
The family probably returned to Scotland for a few years after John was born, and returned to this area with three more sons and a daughter Ann Elizabeth, who were born in Scotland. George senior died in Glasgow aged 53, when he was a steelworks clerk.
