John & Sarah Cheney moved to Rushden from their native Kettering. They emigrated to Australia. Their two sons David Isaac & Sidney William joined the Australian Infantry. David died 13th August 1916 and Sidney on 9th June 1918. Sidney appears on Rushden War Memorial but his brother does not.
