Serving Men and Women WWII

This has been hand coloured and is early but who, where, and when was it taken?

Holiday Fellowship 1930 at Longshaw House DBY

1932 - but who are they?
Introducing Flight-Lieut James (“Ginger”) Lacey, D.F.M., wearing the first Australian-made parachute to rech England, and a scarf autographed by 85 girl workers in the Sydney factory it came from.

Both parachute and scarf had been sent expressly for “the pilot who brought down the Heinkel which bombed Buckingham Palace.” . . . That was “Ginger.” He is 23, has shot down 24 enemy planes, we of them as a sergeant-pilot.

Air Crew Signatures
This Jan 1941 postcard of a Hurricane crew has signatures on the back and a note 4 DFCs, 4 DFMs & 1 Polish VC.
Top left corner J H Lacey, P/O has signed - his signature is circled with a note alongside 'DFM & Bar'. [See also newclip above]
Presumably at least one Rushden man will be in the group.
