D B Shoes Ltd
'Denbros' brand
The company was founded by twins Jack & Bill Denton. The first factory they managed was at Irchester in about 1913, for their father's company B Denton & Sons.

Trade Move
Messrs. Denton Bros., boot manufacturers, are removing their business from Irchester to Rushden, where they have acquired the factory formerly occupied by E. Claridge and Sons. The transfer, which commences this week, facilitates reorganisation and extension. Mr. H. J. Perkins, for many years with Messrs. B. Denton and Sons Ltd., has been appointed manager.

By 1936 they had moved to the old E Claridge factory, in Rectory Road, where DB Shoes flourished. In 1941 they added an air-raid shelter at the back of the property to accommodate 120 workers.
