Rushden - Shop Warming—ln March last we had to record the complete destruction of the boot and shoe manufactory Mr. John Cave. A new and commodious building has now been erected on the site of it, built with two fronts north and east.
A Social Evening was held on 10th March 1898 to celebrate the opening of the factory extension. Dinner was a 6 o'clock prompt. The band leader was Mr F S Knight and the acompanist Mr George Farey.
An excursion for the company employees was to Chatsworth House on 25th June 1898.
