Rushden, besides being a big centre for Gent’s Boots, is well known for its Heel Making, and in this department Messrs. Catling & Durham have made a reputation for heels of the very best quality.

Having a thorough practical knowledge of the trade they understand the requirements of the heeling department, and have built up a very flourishing business.

Their specialities are gent.’s Whole-lift Heels, and at the present time Army Heels for the various British and Allied boots. In these they produce large quantities and are contractors to the Government.

Gunner E. C. Catling is serving his country in the Motor Machine Gun Section.

Rushden Echo, Friday 26th October 1917 Mr E Catling has commenced business in High-street, Rushden, as a leather factor.
