Wrighton - Arnsby

A Rushden Bridegroom from the Front
The happy couple
Private Wrighton and his bride

A military wedding of considerable local interest took place on Wednesday week at the High-street Independent Church, Rushden, the contracting parties being Miss Florence Arnsby, eldest daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. W. Arnsby, of Woodford, and Pte. John William Wrighton, second son of Mr. Ebenezer Wrighton, shoe manufacturer, of Rushden. The bridegroom is on leave from France, where he has served over fifteen months in the Mechanical Transport Section of the A.S.C. He joined up over two years ago. The ceremony, which was performed by the Rev. C. J. Keeler, was attended by a large number of well-wishers of the happy pair, the church being decorated with lilies for the occasion.
