Mrs. Alice Mary Thompson

Obituary—The death took place on Sunday of Mrs. Alice Mary Thompson, aged 43, wife of Mr. Charles Frederick Thompson, of 20 West-street, Rushden. The deceased lady had been confined to bed for the last nine weeks with consumption, and was attended by Dr. Greenfield. She leaves a husband and eight children (four boys and four girls) to mourn he loss. Mrs. Thompson, who had lived in Rushden 22 years, was a member of the Catholic Church. The funeral took place on Wednesday afternoon. The mourners were Mr. C. F. Thompson (husband) and Miss K. Thompson (daughter), Mr. C. F. Thomason (junr, son), and Miss Violet Thompson (daughter), Mr. J. Elsom (nephew), Mrs. Rowthorn and Mrs. Page (friends), Miss M. Skinner and Miss I. Groome (friends). The coffin was of polished elm with brass fittings and was inscribed:

ALICE MARY THOMPSON.
Died March 25th 1917.
Aged 43 years.

Messrs Whittington & Timlin were the undertakers. The Rev. Father O’Gorman conducted a service at the Catholic Church, and also officiated at the cemetery. The wreaths were as follow:
