Death of Mr. W. Scroxton

After being a patient in Park Hospital, Wellingborough, for more than a year, Mr. William Scroxton, of 205 Wellingborough Road, Rushden, died on Sunday, aged 84.

Born at Podington, but a resident of Rushden since he was a young boy, he was the husband of the late Mrs. Louisa Scroxton. He leaves two daughters, Doris Clark and Mrs Ada Maddams.

During his working life, Mr. Scroxton had been a shoe-hand, and was for many years with the former firm of William Claridge, Wellingborough Road, Rushden.

A funeral service was held yesterday at St. Peter’s Church, Rushden, followed by interment at Rushden cemetery.
