Mr Arthur Lawrence, formerly a director at the boot manufacturing firm of Messrs Lawrence Bros, whose premises were in John-street, Rushden, died on Wednesday afternoon at his residence, “Ivanhoe” Wellingborough-road, Rushden. He was 68, and had been in poor health for a considerable time. Mr Lawrence was one of a well-known Higham Ferrers family, and he had been closely connected with the Higham Ferrers Methodist Church all his life. His wife predeceased him by two years, and there was no family. The funeral will take place at the Higham Ferrers Cemetery tomorrow (Saturday) afternoon. Rushden Echo, 8th December 1933 The funeral of Mr Arthur Lawrence of “Ivanhoe” Wellingborough-road, Rushden took place at Higham Ferrers on Saturday. There was a service at the house preceding the interment in Higham Cemetery, the Rev. W Marshall Johnson officiating. Messrs. A Sanders Ltd., carried out the funeral arrangements. |
