Mrs. Alice Maud Foulkes, of Eastham, Cheshire, wife of Mr K Foulkes, passed away suddenly on Wednesday week at the age of 46. She was the eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs J Burt, of 7 Wentworth-road, Rushden, and in her married life had travelled a good deal, visiting at one time New Zealand and Australia. The widower, a son who joined the Navy last week and one daughter are left.

The funeral took place at Rushden on Tuesday afternoon, the service being conducted at 7 Wentworth-road by the Vicar of St. Peter’s (the Rev. E Hurst), a few hours after the sudden death of Mrs. Foulkes mother.
