On the day appointed for her daughter’s funeral, which was to take place from the family home in the afternoon, Mrs. Annie Burt, of 7 Wentworth-road, Rushden, collapsed and died immediately soon after getting up on Tuesday morning. She was aged 77, and with her husband, Mr. George J. Burt, celebrated their golden wedding in August.

Mrs. Burt had been practically confined to the house for more than 12 months, and the unexpected death of her eldest daughter, Mrs. A. Foulkes, of Eastham, Cheshire, last Wednesday came as a great shock to her. She was a native of Higham Ferrers and had lived in Wentworth-road, for 43 years, being a member of St. Peter’s Church Mothers’ Union. The husband, two sons and two daughters are left.
