Mr William Arthur Dickens

On Monday the funeral took place at Rushden of Mr William Arthur Dickens, aged 51 years, of the Mill House, Wymington-road, who succumbed to influenza on Friday last. The deceased was a member of the Rushden Athletic and West End Clubs.

Preceding the interment at the cemetery a service was conducted at the house by the Rev T W Gill (Park-road Baptist minister).

The mourners were: Mr T Dickens (brother), Mrs H Burton (niece), Mr G Dickens and Mrs York (cousins), Mr J Dickens and Miss E Dickens (cousins), and Mr H Burton (nephew).

The wreaths were from the following: In ever loving memory of Arthur, from Brothers and Sisters and Edna and Horace; To dear Arthur, from Auntie Doris and Marie; Remembrance of Arthur, from Joe and Elsie; With deepest sympathy, from his fellow workers at the Tecnic Boot Co.; With deepest sympathy, from the R.A.C.; With deepest sympathy, from the West End Club; With deepest regret, from his old friends; The fishermen at the West End Club.

The funeral arrangements were in the hands of Mr F Bayes, undertaker, of Rushden.
