Death—Largely as the result of four years and three months of war service, the death took place on Saturday at 28 Pemberton-street, of Mr John Bailey. Ever since the war Mr Bailey’s health had not been of the best, and he had been unable to work regularly, though it was not until two years ago that his health became very much worse. Mr Bailey’s name was on the roll-of-honour of the Park-road Baptist Church. He was 49 years of age. Besides the widow, there are left to mourn their loss two daughters. The Rev. E E Bromage officiated at the funeral on Wednesday, and the mourners were Mrs Bailey (widow), Mr L Bailey (brother), Miss Hilda Bailey, Miss Cis Bailey (daughters), Mr and Mrs F Collins (brother-in-law and sister), Mrs Cox* (sister), Mrs Letts (niece), and Mr and Mrs Thompson (brother-in-law and sister-in-law). Mr A Sanders was the undertaker.
