Mrs Maud Bailey

The funeral of Mrs Maud Bailey, of 28 Pemberton street, Rushden, who died on Saturday, took place at Rushden on Tuesday. Mrs Bailey, who was 57, had been in poor health for several months, but it was not until three weeks before her death that she became seriously ill, and the end came rather suddenly.

She was a native of Rushden, and regularly attended the Full Gospel Church at Rushden. Until her illness she was an employee of Messrs B Denton and Son, Ltd. Mr Bailey died in 1929, and there are left a daughter, Mrs Rodden, and a son, Mr Vernon Bailey.

Pastor Whitehouse conducted the funeral service at the house and at the Cemetery. The mourners present included Mr and Mrs Rodden (daughter and son-in-law), Mr and Mrs H Thompson, Mrs Cox, Mrs F Collins (brother and sisters-in-law), Mr L Bailey (brother-in-law), Mrs Letts (niece), Mrs F Parker, Mrs Jacques, Mrs L Harbour, and Mrs Whitehouse.
