| The Marriage took place on Monday at the Park-road Baptist Church, Rushden, of Miss Maud Ellen Partridge, the eldest daughter of the late Mr and Mrs Owen Partridge, of Irthlingborough, to Mr Frederick William Green, third son of Mrs William Green, of Griffith-street, Rushden, and the late Mr William Green, founder of Messrs W Green & Sons, boot manufacturers, Rushden. The Rev C J Keeler officiated. The bride, who was given away by her uncle, Mr E Partridge, was fashionably costumed in tussore silk, with hat to match. She was attended by her sister, Miss Bessie Partridge, who wore a tweed costume and blue felt hat, and whose jewellery consisted of a diamond ring, the gift of the bridegroom. The duties of best man were discharged by Mr C A K Green (brother of the bridegroom). A reception at 64, Wellingborough-road, Rushden, the home of the bride’s aunt (Mrs G Willmott), followed the ceremony, and later Mr and Mrs Green left by the 10.24a.m. train for Llandudno, where the honeymoon is being spent. The bride’s travelling costume was of grey tweed, with fawn hat. Mr and Mrs Green were the recipients of numerous and costly wedding gifts. |
