Rushden Echo, Friday, December 14, 1928, transcribed by John Collins
Mrs. William Green

AGED RESIDENT’S DEATH—Nearly 90 years of age, Mrs. William Green, of Griffith-street, Rushden, widow of the founder of the firm of Messrs. William Green and Sons, Ltd., boot and shoe manufacturers, of Rushden, passed away on Friday last. The deceased lady was a member of the Park-road Baptist Church, as was her late husband. She was highly respected by a large circle of friends, though of recent years, on account of her advanced age—she had celebrated her 89th birthday—she had naturally led a very quiet life. The present head of the firm of Messrs. William Green and Son (Mr. Charles A. K. Green, of Knuston Hall) is a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Green).
