This four-generations picture introduces Mr. John Thomas Denton, aged 83, of 24 Sartoris-road, Rushden, his daughter, Mrs. Edith Perkins (56), of 46 Washbrook-road, his granddaughter, Mrs. Margaret Bristow (24), of 47 Washbrook-road, and two great-grandchildren, Anne Bristow (2½) and John Bristow (11 months).

Mr. Denton used to work as a hand-laster for Messrs. Wm. Green and Son. His father, another John Denton, was sexton of St. Mary's Church. Mrs. Bristow's husband, a C.S.M. in a Canadian infantry battalion, is a prisoner of war in Germany.
