Rushden Temperance Band to Broadcast?
An Audition with The B.B.C.
Is the Rushden Temperance Band to be honoured with an invitation to broadcast?
This question is raised by the fact that the band has received a letter from the B.B.C. to the effect that they are sending a representative down to hear the band on May 22nd, at 11a.m. The band is playing at a sportsmen's service that morning at the Adult School, and it is hoped that the audition will take place afterwards. The contesting successes last season are undoubtedly the cause of the interest taken by the B.B.C., and all music lovers of the county, along with the public of Rushden, wish Mr T Young and the band success in this venture.
