Spencer Park
New Artwork

Councillor John Spencer was much involved in the development of the town, including the park and swimming pool, water, gas and electricity. The council meetings during his 40 years' service provide more details.

Some fine artwork has been done in Spring of 2021, whilst we were under lockdown due to Covid 19. This has cheered up many people as they took a daily "constitutional" stroll through the park during this time. The two artists are Adrian Turner and Mark Pacan.

The first three photographs are on the pavilion in the main park
Rushden Feast was held here for many years
Depicting Councillor John Spencer, after whom the park is named
and the WWI tank that was donated in 1920
This is on the back of the old Bowls Pavilion.
The club moved to Northampton Road but the pavilion remains.

A week or two later two of the pictures were updated! Spot the differences!!
Two new pictures and Mark Pacan one of the artists.
