Scholars’ Football—On the Fosse ground on Good Friday Rushden North End School beat Newton-road by 6-0. F Waller (3), Bryant (2), and Cure were the scorers.

Rushden Footballer - Missing
Sergt. Albert Edward Allibone, Northamptonshire regiment, who was recently awarded the D.C.M. for conspicuous bravery, is reported missing since August 17-18th. Sergt. Allibone is the son of Mr. and Mrs. George Allibone of 85 Roe Road, Northampton. He was well known in athletic circles having played football for Rushden Fosse and cricket for the British United.

Rushden Echo, 25th October 1918
A former Rushden Fosse footballer, Pte. Oscar Elderton, Inniskilling Fusiliers, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Elderton, of Dowthorpe End, Earls Barton, who went to France in 1917, has been killed in action. He was a member of the Earls Barton Old Silver Band, and played football for Wellingborough Redwell, Kettering, and Northampton. He was 25 years of age.
