Blousic Dairy go down to the Cleaners

Fresh from their recent triumph over league leaders Chamberlains, Blousic Dairy went down with a crash last week when they were slammed 11-4 by Express Cleaners in Rushden Factories and Works Darts League.

The Cleaners were in fine form and romped home against the fourth-placed team. GPO were another side to be on the wrong end of an 11-4 scoreline, going down to RUDC, biggest defeat of the season.

C. Norris put up a good performance to beat the Bus Company 8-7.

Combined Rubber gave the Gas Sports a hard game but they were never able to overcome the handicap of losing the first three legs to B. Jones and they went down 9-6.

Chamberlains smashed their way back to their top form against Taylor Woodrow with T. Hollomon, T. D. Brown and A. Leadbitter taking the first nine legs.

Rushden FC Social Club, who are striking form again, were too good for Sanders and Sanders, who are lying third from the foot of the table, and they came out 10-5 winners.

In Division B one of the best performances of the day came from bottom team Calor Gas who scored their second win of the season – beating Covallen 9-6.

BUSM pulled off a surprise win beating second in the table A. Sargent 8-7.

In a top table clash between two joint third placed teams someone had to lose and it was Horrells. They slumped 5-10 to Strong and Fisher B.

Tecnic fought hard against leaders Virginia Chairs and only went down by the odd game.

CWS made it a hat trick of wins in a row with their 10-5 victory over BRS.

RCS showed that they are recapturing the sparkle of their eatrly season form with an easy 10-5 win over Cox and Wright.
