Daily Mail, Sept 2021

1960s - The bride who got to the church on time thanks to the police (Mail) reminded me of when I was due to tow the carnival queen float from Irthlingborough to Rushden. I was on my way when the vehicle engine slowed. I rang the AA and within minutes the patrolman arrived, but was unable to fix. Kevin the AA man saved the day and hooked up the float to his breakdown truck, and drove it on the parade route. - Sent in by John Ward, now of Spalding LIN
