New Premises - Mr. H.P. Hodge is removing to the commodious premises formerly occupied by the late Alderman G. Miller in High Street, which will greatly facilitate his business. Mr. Hodge wishes to thank his customers who have dealt with him during the past five years, and assures them of his intention to give them a very much improved service in all departments. The new premises have been entirely redecorated and handsomely remodelled, to make for comfort and convenience to customers. There is a room for demonstrating all kinds of electrical appliances, a wallpaper room and facilities for dealing promptly with all sections of the ironmongery and building trade. All supplies will be updated and at manufacturers’ terms. Anything not actually in stock will be obtained and despatched at the shortest notice. Mr. Hodge thanks his customers for past favours, and promises an efficient service to all.

In 1926 Henry expanded the property by building a large warehouse behind the shop, and that stretched back to Rectory Road. Another expansion for a warehouse and showroom was put to the council planning department in June 1959.

The main business was established in 1878 at Kettering.
