The SHEEP comprise a very superior flock of 156 young Lincoln ewes, 89 theaves, 200 strong lambs, and 2 pure-bred Lincoln Rams.

HORSES: A team of 15 very powerful and active cart horses, strong cob (quiet to ride and drive).

PIGS: Three sows and pigs, and 5 in-pig yilts.

The IMPLEMENTS consist of 2 capital wagons, 7 carts with copses and iron arms, 2 water carts, light cart, 6 iron ploughs, several sets of heavy and light iron harrows, steam drag harrows, iron scufflers, Bentall's skimmer, Coleman's cultivator, combined wheat and bean and other horse hoes, heavy Cambridge and other rollers, 13 - coultered press drill by Coultas, water drill, seed barrows, 2 Moresby's reaping machines, chaff machine for horse or steam power, cake breaker, bean mill, turnip cutters and pulpers, dressing and weighing machines, horse, cattle, and sheep cribs and troughs, harness for 15 horses, and numerous other useful effects.

Sale to commence with the Implements at Eleven o'clock.

Luncheon will be provided after the Sale of Dead Stock; tickets 2s. each, to be returned to purchasers over £2.

Note—The Sheep and Lambs are good, perfectly sound, and in capital condition, and the Ewes are being served by Lincoln rams. The Horses are very powerful, active, and good workers. The Machinery is in excellent order, and the Implements are in good condition.

Conveyances will meet the 11.57 and 12.17 a.m. and the 5.22 and 6.4 p.m. trains at Irchester Station.

LOT 1—Two substantial and newly brick-built and slated COTTAGES, with bay windows, situate in Alfred-street, Rushden, each having a 17ft. frontage, and containing 5 rooms, pantry, coal cellar, wash-house, workshop, closet, and water cistern, and side entrance to yard and garden.

They are at present on hand, but Tenants are waiting to enter, pending the result of the sale.

LOT 2—Two newly and substantially brick-built and slated Six roomed COTTAGES, situate in the back lane at Rushden, with yard, workshop, and 2 closets; there is also a side entrance to this lot.

PROPERTY SALE—On Thursday evening the following property was sold at the Wheat Sheaf Inn by Messrs. Pendered and Son: Two cottages in Crabb's Close, the property of the exors. of the late Mr. Moore, fetched £380, but the name of the purchaser did not transpire; also a piece of building land near the main street, on which were some partly finished buildings, to Mr. Checksfield for £175. Messrs. Pendered also offered several plots of building land near the Cross-roads, the property of the late Mr. W. Colson, but the reserve price was not reached.

the great fire of 1901. He also bought the large property 'Lot A'.

PROPERTY SALE —€”"Rushden Cottage," with its extensive grounds, the property of the Hon. C. W. Fitzwilliam, M.P., for several years in the occupation of Mr. H. W. Currie, and at present occupied by Mr. Campbell Praed, was put up for sale by auction by Messrs. Stafford and Rogers, on the 11th inst., at the Wagon and Horses Inn, Rushden. The "Cottage," stabling, and 6,640 square yards of land, were bought by Mr. Cave for £1,600; a tool and store house, overlooking a portion of the grounds, being bought by Mr. Higgins for £71. Lots 1 to 4, containing 1,231 yards, were bought by Mr. G. Denton for £152; lots 5 and 6, 780 yards, by Mr. H. Skinner, for £86; lot 7, 535 yards, by Mr. C. Sanders, for £56; lots 8 to 11, 1,220 yards, by Mr. Cave, for £165; lots 12 and 13, 675, by Mr. Cox, for £58; lots 14 and 15, 642 yards, by Mr. W. Spencer, for £57; lots 25 and 26, 556 yards, by Mr. Edwin Knight, for £69. The remaining lots, covering over an acre of ground, were withdrawn. Lots 27 and 28 were afterwards privately bought by Mr. G. Perkins, for the Rushden Tradesmen's Club, for £91; and lots 5, 6, and 7 were subsequently re-sold to Mr. Cave. Two cottages in Duck-street, the property of Mr. C. Praed, were sold at the close of the above auction to Mr. John Wood, for £200. The auction was a fairly spirited one, the auctioneers being evidently well satisfied with the results.

PROPERTY SALE—On Monday evening Messrs. Pendered & Son offered for sale at the Coffee Tavern the following properties:- Lot 1, comprising a draper's shop and two dwelling-houses, situate opposite the Coffee Tavern, and occupied by Mr. O. Knight. This was started at £300, and knocked down to Mr. G. Perkins for £350. We understand it was purchased for Mr. Knight. Lot 2, comprising dwelling-house and carpenter's shop, and adjoining Lot 1, in the occupation of Mr. W. Foskett; this was sold to Mr. John Jacquest for Mr. Hewitt, for £450. A shoe manufactory and dwelling-house, situate in Duck-street, in the occupation of the vendor, Mr. W. Sargent, was offered, but the reserve not being reached, it was withdrawn. Ten shares in the Irthlingborough Gas Company were next put up, and sold to Mr. J. Saxby, of Irthlingborough, for £7 per share, the price of issue being £10.

REAL PROPERTY SALE — Messrs. Stafford and Rogers met a very large and highly respectable company at the Wagon and Horses Inn, on Tuesday evening, and submitted to public competition the Valuable estates of Mr. Manning, comprised in eight lots. Lot 1 consisting of a farm 104 acres in extent with, suitable out-buildings was knocked down to Mr. W. B. Skinner, of London, at £2,600. Lot 2, after a keen competition was purchased by Mr. Lewin. of Wellingborough, solicitor to Mr. Charles Bayes at £345. Lots 3 and 5 were offered together, and purchased by Mr. W. J. Henry, of Wellingborough, and lot 4 (adjoining) was also knocked down to Mr. Henry, the entire purchase money being £535. Lot 6 was purchased by Mr. Asher -Abbott at £45. Lot 7 was sold for £145, and lot 8, a close of land at Wymington sold for £385. Messrs. J. Garrard and Allen, of Olney, were the solicitors for the vendors.

PROPERTY SALE—The valuable building land, the site of the recent fire, adjoining the Coffee Tavern, the property of Mr. W. Pendered, was offered for sale by auction by Messrs. Pendered and Son, at the Wheat Sheaf Inn, on Thursday evening last, with the following result:—Lot 1, Mr. T. W. Norman, £210. Lot 2, Mr. A. Knight, Northampton, £190. Lot 3, Mr. G. H. Skinner, Rushden, £185. Lot 4, bought in at £175, but it was afterwards sold privately to Mr. Skinner for £160. The old materials on the property fetched £5 10s. Messrs. Sharman & Jackson were the solicitors for the vendor.

PROPERTY SALE—On Friday evening last Messrs. Pendered & Son offered for sale at the Wheatsheaf Inn several desirable lots of property. Lot 1, a house in the High-street, with large garden adjoining, having a frontage of about 60 feet to the High-street, and about 100 feet to a new streets called Queen-street (late in the occupation of Mrs. M. A. Laughton, deceased), copyhold of the Manor of Rushden, and "fine certain," realised £525, the purchaser being Mr. Brown, of Rushden, son-in-law of the late occupant. Lot 2, three stone-built and thatched cottages, and two brick-built and slated cottages all adjoining, situated in Duck-street, Rushden, also copyhold of the manor of Rushden, and "fine certain," were purchased by Mr. John Jacques, of Rushden, for £510. Lot 3, which consisted of four freehold cottages situated on the Bedford-road, with a piece of land adjoining, was withdrawn, £380 being the highest offer. Mr. W. Hirst Simpson, of Higham Ferrers, was the vendor's solicitor in Lots 1 and 2, and Messrs. Sharman and Jackson, of Wellingborough, in Lot 3. The attendance was large.

Lot 1.—All those EIGHT MESSUAGES or TENEMENTS, and the BUILDING used as a Primitive Methodist Chapel, abutting on the High-street, Rushden, opposite the Church, with yard, shops, and outbuildings, bounded on the south by the Green, containing altogether 1,175 square yards or thereabouts, as divided from Lots 2, 3 and 4, and coloured brown on the plan. Sale of Freehold Property – An important sale of property took place at the Coffee Tavern on Thursday evening last week, when Messrs. Pendered and Son were the auctioneers, acting on behalf of Mr Wm. Claridge. Lot 1, which consisted of eight houses and the building used as a Primitive Methodist Chapel, opposite the Church, was started at £300, and knocked down to Mr. Banks Skinner (of the firm of Lilley and Skinner) for £810. Lots 2 and 3, consisting of building land, with frontages to the Wellingborough-road were withdrawn, 5s. 11d. per yard being the highest bid. Lot 4 was a plot of building land with a 69ft. frontage to the Wellingborough road, and this found a purchaser in Mr. Samuel Parker of Church Street, for 5s. 2d. per yard. Mr. W H Simpson, of Higham Ferrers, was solicitor to the vendor.

PROPERTY SALE—On Monday evening last, a sale of property took place at the Rose and Crown Inn, when a large and influential company attended. The sale was conducted by Messrs. Macquire and Tarry, of Northampton, under a deed of assignment, for the benefit of the creditors of Mr. Wm. Spencer, plumber, glazier, etc., of Rushden. The first lot offered consisted of two newly-erected dwelling-houses, situate in Fitzwilliam-street, Rushden, together with the large yard, in the occupation of Mr. William Spencer, plumber, glazier, carter, &c. This was started at the sum of £400, and was ultimately knocked down to Mr. Watkin, Northampton, for £530. Lot two consisted of five plots of building land, situate in Moor-road, Rushden, having a frontage of 95 feet, a depth of 80 feet, and a total area of 845 square yards or thereabouts. This was withdrawn, the highest bid being 2s. 5d. per yard. Messrs Pugh, Phillips and Morgan were the solicitors for the vendors.

PROPERTY SALE—On Thursday evening Pendered & Son offered for sale by auction three lots of copyhold property, situate in High-street, Rushden belonging to Mr. Alderman. The first lot, consisting of the house occupied by the vendor, was knocked down to Mr. W. Hirst Simpson, for the sum of £520. Lot 2, the house adjoining the first lot, in the occupation of Mr. A. Laughton, was purchased by Mr. W. Lewin, of Wellingborough, for the sum of £350. Lot 3, consisting of 813 square yards of building land, fronting Punn's-lane, was bought by Mr. Paul Cave, the sum of £100. Mr. W. J. Henry was the solicitor for the vendor.
