Rushden Weather For August, 1910
Summary of the records taken at the School Gardens, Station-road, Rushden, for the Royal Meteorological Society.
Mean maximum shade temperature for the month, 76.82 degrees ; mean minimum temperature for the same period, 50 89 degrees. The highest shade temperature 96.0 degrees was registered on the 11th, while the lowest temperature, 41.5 degrees, was recorded on the 1st.

Average for the month 7.09 based on the system that 0 represents a cloudless sky, and 10 a completely overcast one.
Rainfall
Rain fell on 15 days only. Total amount for the month 3.03 in. Total amount for the year to the end of August, 12.69 ins.
Characteristics of the Weather for the Month
August has proved the wettest month of the year up to the present time.
Rainfall was excessive on the 5th, when 1.4ins. fell in less than 1½ hours; and was heavy on the 18th, 3rd, and 28th.
Rough and cold winds were experienced on the first four days, on the 14th and 15th, and again on the 27th and 29th.
Weather throughout has been cooler than is usual for August, with a very low night temperature on several occasions.
